The Birthday Luncheon during the Texas State Organization Convention will be a special patriotic celebration. Members are encouraged to wear red, white or blue as members celebrate the 83rd birthday of the Society. Bringing books and DVD’s to support the United Through Reading Program that provides books and DVDs with the deployed parent reading the book to his/her child left at home, members celebrate the birthday with these special gifts.

The Texas State Organization of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will be hosting its 83rd annual convention June 21-23, 2012 at the Irving Convention Center located in the Las Colinas area of Irving, Texas. Located less than one mile from the convention center, the Omni Mandalay Hotel is the convention hotel. State President Joanne Webb Davis and Convention Chairman Nancy Newton invite all Texas members to join in them in the convention activities. Be sure to make your hotel reservation soon so you can be assured of a room at the official convention hotel. If you attempt to make a reservation at the Omni Mandalay and are told our block of rooms is full, we now have a second hotel offering that will include transportation to and from the Irving Convention Center.
